You know what’s worse than sitting down to eat or relax and looking up to see dust and cobwebs hanging from your chandelier or light fixture?  Nothing, that’s what.  I used to freak out a bit when I saw such things, but now I just shrug them off, because truly, it’s not that hard to fix.  I’m going to show you my ridiculously easy trick and how to Clean a Chandelier or Light Fixture, the easy way!

Dust Your Chandelier The Easy Way

Yep…grab your paint brush and wipe the dust away in minutes!  I know, so easy it’s sinful.  This is the chandelier in Kate’s room, and I hadn’t dusted it since it was installed…months ago.  Shameful, right?

Here…let me show you the light fixture above my kitchen table…gross, right?  Don’t judge…I’m 5 ft. tall, and sometimes I don’t notice such things until I’m eating and look up.  Ick.

The Easy Way to Dust Light Fixtures

Then as soon as I finish eating, I know it’s time to break out the paint brush and simply brush the dust off.  You can lay a towel down underneath so dust won’t get on your table.

It’s so simple, and the soft brushes ease around the curves and get right into the crevices with ease.  The brushes are so soft, you don’t have to worry about damaging crystals or beads.

    Instead of washing your ornaments in the kitchen sink (risking them slipping) I dip the cloth in warm suds and wipe each one insitu. Less chance of an accident. Works for me anyway!

    Clean crystals on chandelier with small sponge brushes, dipped in white vinegar and water solution or glass cleaner. Dry each crystal with soft paper towel. This can be done easily after light brushing with paint brushes to all area of chandelier.
